The Tech Forum 2019 Committee is exploring possibilities for keynotes and lightning talks (10 minutes or less). Let us know if you have suggestions or would like to volunteer as a speaker.
CIOs Steve Fleagle and Lee Carmen shared an update on the UI’s IT integration initiative at the May 22, 2018 Tech Forum. Following high-level overviews of Health Care Information Systems and OneIT, the Q&A-style presentation focused on staff questions gathered through the Tech Forum registration survey and discussion at a joint meeting of OneIT and HCIS leaders. Here’s a recap of the key points:
Tech Forum presenter Blair Wagner, a leadership coach and organizational consultant with UI Organizational Effectiveness, shared resources for developing your soft skills.
UI technology professionals: Tech Forum 2018 is set for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at the Iowa Memorial Union Main Lounge, and registration is now open! The committee has a great program lined up. Please complete a quick survey by May 11 to let us know if you can attend.
The Tech Forum 2018 Committee is developing an excellent program for the May 22 event. One goal for this year is to provide a foundational knowledge of Health Care Information Systems and OneIT, and to build relationships across the organizations as we embark on integration efforts this year. The event will be a half day this year to make it easier for people to attend. CIOs Lee Carmen and Steve Fleagle will give a high-level overview of OneIT and HCIS structure and services, discuss efforts they have on the horizon, and share an update on integration. A series of flash talks will highlight unique activities happening in HCIS and OneIT, and the committee is working to plan a non-technical-skills session. The IT Leadership Award presentation and a networking lunch will complete the day.
